Time: Tuesdays and Fridays between 8am and 2pm

If you enjoy gardening, growing vegetables, being in wide open spaces in a friendly atmosphere then come volunteer at the Community Gardens on Kooragang City Farm.

Learn about organic gardening and permaculture in our large vegetable and herb gardens, and our sub-tropical and stone fruit orchard.

Work involves garden bed preparation, planting, mowing, pruning, weeding and harvesting.

Rob Henderson, Kooragang City Farm Manager shows you the ropes and supervises the work.

Volunteers use garlic sprays to protect plants from insect attack.

Organic matter is turned into compost for reuse as fertilizer.
